Tucker Hughes is co-founder and Managing Partner at Peregren and has more than two decades of real estate finance, development and capital markets experience. Previously, Tucker was national Head of Commercial Real Estate at Axos Bank, overseeing $1 billion of transitional and stabilized loan originations during his 8-month tenure. Prior to Axos, Tucker was an advisor for a large Canadian pension fund where he participated in the origination of $1.7 billion in transitional loans. Prior to the advisory role, Tucker was Managing Director at Bank OZK (formerly Bank of the Ozarks) where he assembled and managed a real estate lending team across five offices (Dallas, Houston, Austin, Los Angeles and San Francisco). During his tenure, the Real Estate Specialties Group closed over $25 billion in loans and had one of the lowest loss ratios in the country. Tucker graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and received an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Tripp Taylor is co-founder and Partner at Peregren and has over a decade of real estate finance and capital markets experience. Previously, Tripp was a Vice President at Axos Bank where he managed an originations team focused on transitional real estate lending opportunities. Prior to Axos, Tripp was an Assistant Vice President at Bank OZK (formerly Bank of the Ozarks) and a member of the originations team focused on commercial real estate lending throughout the western US. Prior to Bank OZK, Tripp worked in multifamily agency MBS lending and capital markets at Newmark Knight Frank (formerly Berkeley Point Capital). Tripp graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Brett Pettis is a Vice President at Peregren and has been a member of the Peregren team since the firm’s inception, having joined as an Associate. Brett brings with him nearly a decade of commercial real estate experience ranging from originations to closing, due diligence, and asset management. Previously, Brett was an Analyst at Axos Bank where he focused on commercial bridge and construction lending nationwide, as well as CRE lender finance. Brett graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration - Finance.

Henry Ordway is a Senior Associate at Peregren, where he focuses on sourcing and analyzing opportunities across the central and southern US for the firm’s lending and investment platform. Prior to joining Peregren in 2023, Henry worked at Walker & Dunlop in New York, where he spent three years in their Investment Partners group and helped originate over $1.6 billion in commercial real estate debt. Henry also gained operating experience through a stint in the hospitality industry before joining the Peregren team. Henry graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor’s degree from the Undergraduate School of Business.

Will Hunter is a Senior Associate at Peregren, where he focuses on sourcing and analyzing opportunities across the western and southern US for the firm’s lending and investment platform. Prior to joining Peregren in 2024, Will was a member of the acquisitions team at Hackman Capital Partners, where he focused on office, studio, industrial and life-science acquisitions across major U.S. and international markets. Prior to Hackman, Will worked at The Ruth Group, working on the acquisition and development of commercial projects throughout Southern California. Will graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development.
TOMAS ARELLANO

Tomas Arellano is Vice President of Finance at Peregren Capital Group and has two decades of real estate finance and accounting experience. Prior to joining Peregren in 2024, Tomas served as Vice President and in other leadership positions at multiple Austin-based real estate investment firms, where his experience ranged across industrial investment funds, boutique hospitality projects, and multifamily development initiatives. Over the course of his career, he has overseen financial reporting, transaction execution, and operational oversight for more than $2 billion in real estate transactions. Tomas graduated from Texas State University - San Marcos with Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Political Science.
